COVID Conversations: Georgia Tech COVID-19 Economic Research

Podcast developer & Manager

The COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent economic shutdown have wreaked havoc on global economies. What follows are descriptions of the effect of the pandemic on multiple sectors of the Georgia economy including employment, healthcare, sales tax, mobility, air travel, hotels, public companies, municipal bonds, and real estate. Talks are assisted by the Financial Services Innovation Lab at Georgia Tech and sponsored by the Speedwell Foundation.

I partnered with students and faculty from the Georgia Tech Scheller College of Busines to create a podcast series tracking the effects of COVID-19 on Georgia’s economy. The podcast is designed to document the far-ranging effects of the virus on the health and well-being of the statewide economy and provides perspectives from multiple sectors including employment, health care, real estate, sales tax, transportation, public companies, and more. The COVID Conversations Podcast keeps a running timeline of virus-related events in Georgia and the effects of the virus on Georgia public schools.

REDESIGNING CITIES: THE SPEEDWELL FOUNDATION TALKS AT GEORGIA TECH

Podcast Manager

The Speedwell Foundation Talks @ Georgia Institute of Technology is a series of presentations + conversations between leading urbanists that address 21st Century urban challenges: social capital, social equity, critical infrastructure, outdated infrastructure, disruptive technologies, ecology, and money. The series is hosted by Ellen Dunham-Jones, professor and Director of the Master of Science in Urban Design degree in the Georgia Tech School of Architecture.

I assisted in recording, editing, and publishing Podcast Seasons 2 and 3 for Georgia Tech as a Graduate Research Assistant while pursuing my Master of Science in Urban Design program. The podcast series was made in collaboration with the College of Architecture at Georgia Tech.
